There would be a fully Digital enabled conceptualisation, design, build, production, validation and testing and services. (Note that Production here could mean manufacturing or making sure the facility or utility or whatever is the good is ready to be sold and consumed) There will also be an integration with customers and the customers' customer as part of the ecosystem of experience management. Similarly, there would be integration with suppliers and suppliers' suppliers to have a robust digital enabled value chain. There will be digital enabled facilities, digital enabled and agile IT, environment & sustainability management and above all, transparent governance with an ultimate focus of being continually fit for purpose and fit for future.
The advantages are that the business is lean, competitive and fuelling growth by being fully aware of its ecosystem. The disadvantages are that it does take a long time to get there and the business must be prepared to adapt and evolve through a mix of incremental and step changes.
